Oh well, ultimately it doesn't effect my opinion of the game or of CD Projekt because this is without a doubt the best game I've played in the last 10 years and I am apparently one of the lucky few that had absolutely zero problems with 1.0 - still quite annoying nonetheless.

I even sent in a support ticket ( ) the day the patch was released and have yet to receive a response - numerous threads on these very forums have also pointed out the issue and there has been no word from CDP as far as I'm aware - very frustrating since I imagine it could be fixed in under 60 seconds and a hotfix could be released for gamepad users - it was working perfectly in 1.0 so there's really no excuse. hell, I play a metric fuckton of Arma 2 so I'm used to convoluted and complicated controls and find most PC games impossible to play with a gamepad save a few exceptions - Prototype and GTA IV are the only other games I own that I primarily use a gamepad for.
This is one of the only games I use a gamepad for as well, so it's not just a case of me preferring gamepads over a keyboard & mouse. Yep, made me revert back to 1.0 because I find everything controls much more fluidly and comfortably with a gamepad, and not being able to read through my journal and having to take my finger off the analog stick during combat to switch through my signs/traps/bombs is not only frustrating, but almost gamebreaking - at least for me.
